Etrobian Second: Sober Mode - Style Feature

#1 » Post by Etro » 17 Jul 2016 02:01

For those who use the Etrobian Second theme, there's a new feature; Sober Mode:

Sober Mode is meant for those who might not like all the shiny, glowy images and colours of Etrobian Second theme but still would like to take advantages of some of its features (stalker menu, preview profile on topics, etc) and even for when you're at night with lights turned off and would like a way more dim website to not hurt your eyes.

It essentially gets rid of all images except for topic icons, and logos. Some colours are also flattened and made more dim. Absolutely every single glow is gone too.

Same as with the Stalker Menu feature, you can find it under the User submenu (the submenu that opens up when you mouse over your avatar in the headerbar) and it also remembers your choice.

* Requires to have Javascript and localStorage enabled.
* Might need to clear browser cache to make it work the first time (CTRL + F5).

Amazing :D

There's things that never will be right I know, and things need changin' everywhere you go.
But 'til we start to make a move to make a few things right,
You'll never see me wear a suit of white.
