help with downloading pls
I just downloaded the 12 hour wotlk download.....then it updated to cataclysm wat do I do so it doesn't update again
here goes a other 12 hours

1. Use the WoW.exe to launch the game. Never use the Launcher.exe.
2. Ensure your realmlist is set properly by verifying both the realmlist.wtf and config.wtf file.
3. Use the username you created at the account manager (http://www.truewow.org/account-manager) not your website account or email.

But I don't have a wow.exe file???

Where did you download your game from? Can you provide a screenshot of your installation folder?

I am having the same problem and I downloaded the game from here, and it tries to update to Cata whenever I log in.

Don't login with a email as it will try to update if you do. Use your user name.

It does seem like this issue has already been solved as it was discontinued or no longer followed up
by the original poster.
Usually a 7 days deadline is issued after the last contact attempt from a Staff member, which might be
directly expressed on the thread or sent by personal messages.
This thread is now going to be locked due to an extended amount of inactivity, in other words, no further
response given from the interested parts after a given period of time.
In case the issue still persists, please open a new thread.
